Safeguarding

Safeguarding and Prevent Protocols at Dial Park:

🔒 Annual Safeguarding Training is completed by all staff members.
🔒 Team Teach and De-escalation Techniques are taught every three years, with additional sessions for staff working with children who require further support.
🔒 James Clark, our Headteacher, serves as the designated lead for Prevent.
🔒 All staff complete online Prevent training through the government’s Prevent training course.

If any parents have concerns about the welfare or safety of a child, parent, or staff member, they should report their concerns to one of our designated Safeguarding Leads.

Designated Safeguarding Leads

This team, alongside all staff trained at Level 1 or higher, provides us with the depth and support necessary to make well-informed decisions regarding the safeguarding needs of our school community.

We are located together at the hub of the school, where we engage in daily informal discussions about the needs of our community, ensuring constant communication and timely responses.

Additionally, all staff receive Level 1 safeguarding awareness training, which is updated annually to ensure we maintain the highest standards of care and vigilance.
