SEND

Ofsted - 2023

" Leaders and staff are highly ambitious for the achievement of all pupils, including those with special educational needs and / or disabilities (SEND)."

Welcome

With 7-8 years of experience as the SENCo in both the nursery and two-year-old room, I have had the privilege of supporting the diverse needs of our young learners. During this time, I also earned the National SENCo Award.

With 25 years of teaching experience across all key stages, from nursery to Year 6, I am passionate about ensuring that every child's needs are met. Following a successful transition with Carol Smith, the previous SENCo, I am committed to continuing this work and ensuring every child at Dial Park has the opportunity to thrive.

This will involve close collaboration with the entire school community, outside agencies, parents, and, most importantly, the children themselves. Together, we will ensure that all our children reach their full potential.

About SEND

Central to our values at Dial Park we aim to include all children positively and supportively in order to help them achieve the best outcomes from their Nursery and Primary education. Over the years we have supported many children with specific and/or unusual personal challenges and have captured some of these inspirational journeys in our case studies which you will find below.

We value inclusion; it is every child's right to feel included in their primary school.
